Everything’s Better With Bourbon

The “everything” in this case is dessert.  “Bourbon Desserts” (University Press of Kentucky, $19.95) by Lynn Marie Hulsman has more than 100 American recipes for cakes, cookies, ice cream, custards, eggnog and so on, all enhanced by bourbon.  She includes a short background about each dish and the instructions are clear and easy to follow.  What a great gift for anyone who shares our motto:  “Life is uncertain.  Order dessert first.”  Or for someone who loves bourbon.  Or desserts.
