Oculto Tequila Barrel-Aged Lager

March 27, 2015 – Anheuser-Busch’s Oculto Tequila Barrel-Aged Lager is now available across the country.  Besides aging in tequila barrels, the beer is also infused with blue agave.  The emphasis seems to be more on the packaging than the flavor.  The bottle is embedded with hidden messages and a skull whose eyes appear when cold.  We’ve yet to try it but the Beer Review Crew did on a YouTube video and said it was the worst beer in the world, so maybe we won’t.  Perhaps that’s why the company describes it as a “late night beer”.  You have to be half asleep or smacked to enjoy it.  Or maybe it’s just not meant for beer geeks.
