Memorial Day Cocktail Recipes

May 24, 2016 – It marks the unofficial beginning of summer so the Memorial Day weekend is always exciting. As friends gather for the first cookout of the season or just to clink glasses and enjoy the long weekend, we rounded up a selection of easy, breezy cocktails that will make you look like a pro and are great sipping on any occasion. We’re betting you already have most of the ingredients already stashed in your liquor cupboard.
Tropic Plunder
1.0 oz. Captain Morgan Cannon Blast Intensely Delicious Shot
0.25 oz. Peach Schnapps
0.25 oz. Pineapple Juice
Method: Shake with ice and strain into a shot glass
Cannonblast
1.0 oz. Captain Morgan Cannon Blast Intensely Delicious Shot
0.5 oz. Cranberry Juice
Method: Shake with ice and strain into a shot glass. Quick tip: For extra frostiness, store the bottle in the freezer.
To have a little fun use a frozen shot glass mold and make the mold out of your favorite juice for a fruity shot. You’re officially allowed to call it a Cannonblast Chilled!

1.5 Jägermeister
1oz Fresh Pink Grapefruit Juice
.5oz Simple Syrup
Grapefruit Soda
Method: Shake like you’re a beat meister and strain all ingredients, except grapefruit soda, over fresh ice. Top with grapefruit soda and garnish with half a grapefruit wheel.
Frizzante
2 parts sparkling water
1 part Frangelico
Squeeze of fresh lime
Serve over ice
Patrón and Tonic
2 oz Patrón Silver
3 oz Tonic water
Lime wedge for garnish
Method: Combine Patrón Silver with tonic water, beginning with a well-iced highball glass. Garnish with a lime wedge.
Jalisco Mule
2 oz Patrón Reposado
3 oz Ginger Beer
.5 oz Lime Juice
Lime Twist
Candied Ginger
Method: Combine Patrón Reposado and lime juice in chilled copper mug filled with crushed ice. Top with ginger beer and stir. Garnish with a lime wedge and candied ginger.
Americano
1 oz. Campari
1 oz. Cinzano 1757
Splash of Club Soda
Method: Pour Campari and Cinzano 1757 over ice in a rocks or highball glass. Add a splash of club soda. Garnish with an orange twist.
Mixtape and Mixtape Punch

¼ oz. Aperol
1 oz. Vodka
1 oz. Dry Vermouth
¾ oz. Watermelon Juice
¾ oz. Lime Juice
½ oz. Simple Syrup
Top with Sparkling Wine
Method: Build in a wine glass and stir. Top with sparkling wine.
Punch bowl serving:
1 oz. Aperol
4 oz. Vodka
4 oz. Dry Vermouth
3 oz. Watermelon Juice
3 oz. Lime Juice
2 oz. Simple Syrup
6 oz. Sparkling Wine
