July 4 is a day to celebrate our Independence with family and friends and not stress out over cocktail concoctions, especially this year with our national holiday falling on a Wednesday. So we’ve selected eight recipes that do not require a Ph.D mixologist to mix or break the bank to buy. In fact, you probably have the ingredients on hand. Most require only one type of liquor.
So when it comes to the drinks this July Fourth, relax and enjoy and Happy Independence Day.
8 Easy Cocktails for Fourth of July
Bacardi Cuatro Manzana
1 part Bacardi Añejo Cuatro rum
2 parts sparkling apple juice
2 lime wedges
Method: Squeeze and drop one lime wedge into a highball glass. Add ice and build other ingredients. Serve with one lime wedge.
Bacardi Daiquiri
2 parts Bacardi Superior Rum
2 tsp sugar
1 part freshly squeezed lime juice
Method: Place sugar and freshly pressed lime juice into a cocktail shaker and stir until the sugar has dissolved. Then pour in the Bacardi Superior rum and fill the shaker with half-cubed ice, followed by some half-crushed ice. Place the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously until thoroughly chilled. Finally, strain through a fine tea strainer into a chilled coupette.
Montelobos Paloma
½ part Montelobos Mezcal
½ part Ancho Reyes Chile Liqueur
3 parts grapefruit soda
Squeeze of lime
Method: Using a lime wedge, wet the rim of the glass and salt half of the rim. Add ice, Ancho Reyes, Montelobos Mezcal and grapefruit soda. Squeeze wedge of lime and discard. Give it a quick stir. Garnish with a thin grapefruit wheel.
Aperol Spritz
2 parts Prosecco or other sparkling wine
2 parts Aperol
1 dash of soda water
Method: In a glass full of ice, combine Prosecco followed by Aperol in equal parts. Add a splash of soda. Garnish with an orange slice.
Pineapple Moscow Mule
2 oz Reyka Vodka
2 oz pineapple juice
1 oz lime juice
4 oz top ginger beer
Method: Combine first three ingredients and shake. Pour over ice in mule mug. Top with ginger beer and garnish with pineapple slice.
Silver Berry Fizz
1.25 oz. Nolet’s Silver Gin
0.25 oz. sweet & sour
2 oz. cranberry Juice
Ginger ale
Method: Pour first three ingredients into an ice-filled rocks glass. Top with ginger ale. Stir well. Garnish with raspberries.

0.75 oz. Campari
2 oz. Bulldog Gin
0.75 oz. Cinzano 1757
2 oz. lemon juice
1.25 oz. simple syrup
2 whole strawberries
Method: Blend all ingredients (making sure tops of strawberries are cut off) with 1.5 cups of ice until smooth and pour into a tall glass. Garnish with a strawberry and orange twist.
Jägermeister Paloma
1.5 oz. Jägermeister
1 oz. fresh pink grapefruit juice
.5 oz. fresh lime juice
.5 oz. agave nectar
Fill with Izze grapefruit soda
Method: Combine all ingredients except the grapefruit soda in the small tin add ice and shake. Strain over fresh ice into a highball glass. Fill with grapefruit soda, stir, garnish with grapefruit peel and serve.
