Save the Puffins with Reyka Vodka
May 6, 2019 – Puffins are delightful, slightly comical little birds that need help to continue to be delightful and comical. Their numbers have declined due to over hunting and climate change. Iceland, home of Reyka Vodka that rightfully claims to be one of the purest in the world is also where over half the world’s Atlantic Puffins have their breeding grounds.
To help the puffins Reyka Vodka has teamed up with the National Audubon Society to raise money to protect puffin breeding grounds. On our east coast there are colonies of Atlantic puffins as far south as Maine. In the west, there are Horned puffins in Alaska and Tufted puffins on the islands off Washington and Oregon coasts down as far as the Farallon Islands off the coast of San Francisco, California.
