Super Bowl & the Bacardi Mojito, It Doesn’t Get Any Better!

January 26, 2020 – There’s nothing like a Bacardi Mojito to create the right atmosphere.  So if we can’t be in Miami on Sunday, February 2 to celebrate Super Bowl LIV we can still get the sundrenched feeling that comes with cocktails from Bacardi, the famous rum distillery in Miami’s backyard.

We’ve got three really simple and delicious recipes for you.  We’ll confess our favorite summer libation is Bacardi Lime Mojito, which we’ve featured in the past but we love the idea of being able to offer guests a choice.  So have at it and let’s get Super Bowl 54 going.

Bacardi Mojito

  • 2 parts Bacardi Superior Rum
  • 4 lime wedges
  • 12 fresh mint leaves
  • 2 tsp super fine sugar
  • 1 part club soda
  • Sprig of fresh mint

Method: Add the lime wedges, sugar and mint leaves to a highball glass and gently muddle until the limes release juice. Add Bacardi Superior and mix the ingredients with a bar spoon. Fill with crushed ice and stir once again. Add club soda and garnish with mint.

Bacardi Lime Mojito

  • 2 parts Bacardi Lime Flavored Rum
  • 4 lime wedges
  • 6-8 fresh mint leaves
  • 2 tbsp super fine sugar
  • 1 part club soda
  • 1 sprig of fresh mint

Method: Add the lime wedges, sugar and mint leaves and gently muddle until the limes release juice. Add Bacardi Lime Flavored Rum and mix the ingredients with a bar spoon. Fill with crushed ice and stir once again. Add club soda and garnish with mint.

Bacardi Pomegranate Mojito

  • 1½ parts Bacardi Superior Rum
  • 1 part Liber & Co. pomegranate syrup
  • ¼ part fresh lime juice and sugar
  • 1 part club soda
  • 9 mint leaves

Method: Gently muddle mint leaves with the pomegranate syrup in a mason jar. Add the fresh lime juice and sugar mixture, Bacardi Superior rum and ice, and shake for five seconds. Top with club soda and garnish with a fresh mint leaf.  Adding pomegranate arils is a pretty touch.
