Try Something Different for Cinco de Mayo This Friday
May 1, 2023 – When Cinco de Mayo falls on a Friday, as it does this year, it’s a double reason to celebrate since the specter of that 9:00 a.m. meeting the next day isn’t spoiling the fun. We never need an excuse to dust off the Margarita glasses but we’re thinking of something a little different this year. We’re thrilled to be serving Spicy Tama-Ritas with Smirnoff’s Spicy Tamarind Vodka.
Tangy, sweet-tart, and fruity, the flavor of tamarind is truly genuine Mexico and it’s the hit drink for partying among young Mexicans. Of course it wouldn’t be Mexican without the ubiquitous chili adding some heat and we love the contrast. Shots are trendy, especially in the glow-in-the-dark bottle, but we’re serving the above-mentioned Tama-Rita and a Spicy Tamarind Paloma. See Recipes below.
It couldn’t get any easier, more delicious, or the more perfect flavor for this big Mexican celebration. But just in case by the end of the week you just want to crash, there’s always a six-pack of Smirnoff’s Spicy Tamarind Ice., available everywhere.
