Attention Beer Drinkers: It’s All About The Glass

Wine nerds have known it for years. Finally, beer drinkers can enjoy it too. We’re talking about glassware designed to enhance the flavor of the brew. Spiegelau, a German glassware manufacturer, teamed up with Dogfish Head and Sierra Nevada breweries for a taste test of their India Pale Ale glass, or I.P.A. to those in the know. Gina Pace at the New York Daily News took the challenge then set up a tasting test of her own with interesting results. There really is a science behind glass shapes affecting flavor.
