There were some red faces and sweaty palms at Wild Turkey recently when barrels of rye and bourbon were dumped into one another accidentally. Eddie Russell, Wild Turkey associate master distiller was not amused until he tasted the blend and decided it tasted pretty darned good. He said all was forgiven so someone with a sense of humor, probably in the marketing department, decided to release the blend and call it Forgiven. It is a limited release. The stats are 78% six-year-old bourbon and 22% four-year-old rye. Suggested retail is $49.99.
