Costco is famous for saving you money, right? Believe it or not, a bottle of Scotch whisky for $16,999 is a bargain, sort of. A Costco store in Scottsdale, Arizona has one bottle of The Macallan single malt, which has been barrel aged for 60 years. Only 400 bottles of this very rare aged whisky have been released and only 72 are available in the United States.
Now this isn’t any old bottle of Scotch. It comes in a gorgeous decanter from famous French crystal maker Lalique and is a part of a special collection known as Lalique Six Pillars Collection designed to celebrate various facets of The Macallan distillery processes. The distillery was founded in 1824.
If you find one elsewhere, it will probably cost you at least $20,000 so there you have it, Costco saves you money!
