
Airlines are paying attention to their customers and more and more of them are serving craft beers. “They want to drink in the air what they’re drinking on the ground,” said Jim Koch, co-founder of Boston Beer Co., maker of Sam Adams.
In addition to passenger demands, one of the main reasons for the switch is the move from bottles to cans by craft breweries. Cans are lighter and weight counts at 35,000 feet. Ramped up production by craft brewers means there’s enough supply available for airlines.
