Ever wondered what passengers prefer to drink while flying? According to GuestLogix, a company that processes about 90 percent of credit card transactions on flights, it is spirits. In a five-month period in 2013, the totals for six North American airlines were liquor with sales of $38 million, wine with sales of $14 million and beer in third place at over $11 million. Altitude affects taste and smell so that could be why spirits is the leader.
