
Premixed Sangria is the latest hot trend according to Shanken News Daily. The 21 to 35 age group “are buying it by the boatload.” Older drinkers see it as a way to have some wine but not get drunk. Costco says it does well for them.
Not so fast, says the European Union. Bottled Sangria must come from Spain or Portugal, just as Champagne must comes from Champagne. They approved a regulation regarding Sangria in February but nobody seems to be listening.
