A Trip to Georgia’s Historic Wine Country
Georgia can be described as the cradle of winemaking with 8,000 vintages under its belt. They also had 525 grape varieties, including clones, of which 440 are still in use! This is a country that has been serious about wine since 6,000 B.C and some of their wines are available in the U.S., especially on the East coast. Wine and spirits educator, and intrepid traveler, Harriet Lembeck recently returned from a trip to Georgia and her fascinating description can be found http://www.wineandspirits.com/the-wines-of-historic-georgia/
