California Craft Beer Summit Schedule for September

Feb. 16, 2015 – The California Craft Brewers Association has announced an exciting event for craft beer brewers and enthusiasts to rub shoulders with the beer brotherhood September 11-12, 2015 in Sacramento at the Sacramento Convention Center. The Craft Beer Summit will be a part of the third annual Farm-to-Fork Festival in Sacramento, which runs September 10 through 27.

California has more craft breweries than any other state – 500 at the last count – including some of the best in the industry.  Attendees will have an opportunity to taste the best beer California has to offer including unusual and hard to find beers.
Beer tasting festivals are plentiful and popular but the Craft Beer Summit promises more than just tasting and music.  Tom McCormick, Executive Director of the California Craft Brewers Association described it as a one of a kind event and a first in the industry.  “The summit will bring together retailers, wholesalers, brewery owners, beer enthusiasts and home brewers for an educational, hands-on experience where they will be able to see, touch, smell and taste beer.”

In addition to workshops, seminars, demonstrations and displays, the Summit will offer an industry job fair and start-up seminars for anyone thinking of opening a brewery.

The Brewers Showcase grand finale on Saturday, September 12 will be a tasting of 100 or more California craft beers.  Fifty-eight have already signed up to participate so the number may well be 200 plus.  Tickets go on sale March 10 for the Summit and the Showcase.  For more information on events, exhibitors, hotels, etc., check out www. http://cacraftbeersummit.com/ .  Information about the Farm-to-Fork Festival can be found at www.farmtofork.com.
