March 16, 2015 – Budweiser should hire this guy if he’s not in jail.
It all went down in New Orleans. Clarence Sturdivant, 64 and his neighbor Walter Merrick, 66 were hanging out in the parking lot of their apartment building, reportedly discussing which beer was the better. Studivant asked Merrick for a beer. He came back with a can of Busch. Sturdivant wanted a Budweiser, which he considered superior to Busch. The argument continued and eventually Sturdivant shot Merrick and left. That good ol’ boy doesn’t mess around.
Sturdivant claims Merrick pulled the gun first and he fired in self-defense. Sturdivant ended up in the pokey on “unrelated charges” and Merrick was cited for aggravated assault.
With the drubbing Budweiser has been taking lately, they should give Clarence Sturdivant a medal, or a 12-pack at the very least. Incidentally, Anheuser-Busch makes both Bud and Busch.
