August 27, 2015 — Live in Seattle and need one hour delivery of beer, wine or spirits? Amazon can do it. It is a part of Amazon’s Prime Now service, which has an annual membership fee of $99 for same day delivery. Prime Now is in a number of U.S. cities including Portland, Dallas, Austin, New York, Baltimore, Miami and Atlanta. Seattle, their hometown has just been added.
What makes Seattle different is it is the only U.S. location where Amazon customers can order liquor and beer. Their alcohol sales in the rest of the country are limited to wine. And it is the only market where they can offer one-hour delivery of alcohol products. In addition to the annual fee, one-hour delivery costs Prime Now subscribers an additional $7.99.
