Robin Williams Wine Name Honored by French Buyer

January 13, 2017 – The Tesseron family, owners of Château Pontet-Canet in Bordeaux, purchased Robert Williams vineyard estate on Mount Veeder in the Napa Valley. A particular vineyard on the estate was called Pym-Rae, a combination of the middle names of his first two children.
The Tesserons announced they will not change the name and the wine from that vineyard will be called Pym-Rae. Robin Williams planted the vineyard more than 26 years ago.
The new owners anticipate converting their new property to biodynamic farming. They are leading proponents of biodynamics in Bordeaux.
