Guinness to Build New Brewery in Maryland

February 17, 2017 – Autumn this year will mark the 200th anniversary of Guinness first being imported in the United States and to celebrate the occasion, Diageo, owners of Guinness, have announced they will be building a new micro-brewery and visitor center at the existing plant in Relay, Maryland.
This is the first expansion by Guinness in the U.S. in 63 years and the new brewery will produce beers specially created for the U.S. market. Visitors will be able to tour the brewery, sample the experimental beers and purchase branded merchandise in the retail store.
The Guinness brewery is one of the top tourist sites in Dublin and Diageo anticipates the new micro-brewery/visitor center will be a popular destination in Maryland.
