Kona Beer Cocktails For the Dog Days of Summer
August 7, 2018 – Kona Beer suggests it’s time to do something different before the summer of 2018 becomes one for the history books. About this time every year we see news items invoking the well-worn phrase about the “dog days of summer” and we know it’s something to do with feeling really hot and lazy. Actually it has nothing to do with Fido panting but with Sirius the “dog star” and it dates back to the ancient Greeks. National Geographic explains all.
So armed and erudite, impress your best buds with a fancy take on beer cocktails that require measuring, stirring and shaking skills but not much else. We are intrigued by two of the recipes that include ice cream mix – the Koko Vanilla Beer-tini and the Pipeline Haze. They sound cold and creamy. Yum! Junket Very Vanilla Ice Cream Mix is available at Walmart.
So kick back, take your cue from Kona on lovely Hawaii where relaxing is an art form, and sip a delicious cold beer cocktail before it’s time to start thinking about pumpkins.
