The Macallan Celebrates Chinese New Year 2019 With Limited Edition

February 1, 2019 — To celebrate Chinese New Year, The Macallan has unveiled the Lunar New Year Limited Edition Gift Box. The box includes two bottles of The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old in beautiful packaging featuring a specially designed label for the Year of the Pig.

Somewhere in the gorgeous gold illustration created for this year’s Lunar New Year there’s a pig.  We haven’t been able to find it but we are assured it is there.  Last year the dog was easy to spot celebrating that year’s zodiac sign.

This is the second year The Macallan has released a highly collectible limited edition for the Lunar New Year.  There are 12 signs in the Chinese zodiac calendar so imagine the fun and reward for collecting all 12.  Patience is a virtue!

The Macallan Double Cask 12 limited edition Lunar New Year pack will be available to buy from selected retailers across the USA for a suggested retail price of $120.

Palate: Honey, spices and citrus, balanced with raisins and caramel

Finish:  Oak lingers, warm, sweet and drying
