March 09, 2021 — Woodford Reserve’s 2021 Kentucky Derby commemorative bottle is now available in liquor stores across the country. This is the 22nd such bottle which is beloved by racing fans, bourbon drinkers and collectors. The label features the artwork of Louisville resident Richard Sullivan, a former professional baseball player. Sullivan’s stunning watercolor is of thoroughbreds as they thunder down the stretch. It was designed as a complement to last year’s Derby bottle artwork, which Sullivan also created.
The 147th Kentucky Derby will be run on May 1 at Churchill Downs in Louisville, KY. The Derby dates back to 1875 and is the longest running sporting event in the U.S. It is also the briefest taking just two minutes!
The one-liter, Kentucky Derby bottle of Woodford Reserve Bourbon is on sale nationwide and globally, with a suggested retail of $49.99.
