The Sons of Liberty, a distillery located in South Kingstown, RI, has won a coveted award from Whisky Magazine in the U.K. for the “World’s Best Flavored Whiskey”. This is the first time a U.S. craft distillery has won a “World’s Best”. Whisky Magazine started the awards in 2007. The winning whiskey was the 2014 Pumpkin Spice Flavored Whiskey.
“Taking home “World’s Best Flavored Whiskey” for the Pumpkin Spice was awesome. Only 10 “World’s Best” awards were given out and to be one of them is just unbelievable. Immediately we thought, wow, we’re going to need a lot more pumpkins this year,” said Sons of Liberty Owner, Mike Reppucci.
