We enjoyed a red blend from Stack Wines – the folks who package a bottle of pretty decent wine in four individual plastic serving cups for wine-on-the-go – and pondered what to do with the empty cups. They were too cute to throw in recycle right away and sure, we could use them for left over bits and pieces in the fridge. Then the light bulb went off – twice!
First it occurred to us that these single servings are the perfect size to have on hand for adding to a recipe. Solves the problem of opening a whole bottle of wine when all you need is a cup or so.
The second flash of genius was recycling the containers for dainty desserts poolside. Since the Fourth of July is right around the corner, we decided to test our creativity and come up with something red, white and blue. For the recipe click here.
