Sobering News For Budweiser And Coors

Sales of beer slowed in the U.S. for the four weeks up to mid-April over the same period last year according to Forbes. The losers were Budweiser and Coors while imports Heineken and Corona as well as craft beer Sam Adams, gained.
Over the past 12 months Budweiser and Coors saw modest growth of 2.1 percent and 0.9 respectively. In the same period Corona grew by 7.8 percent, Sam Adams by 6.7 and Heineken by 3.6.
In general, craft beers are the growth area for the category.
