June 29, 2019 – Independence Day is such a fun holiday to kick back with friends, get the grill going and toast our great country with cooling drinks. Hosts want to enjoy the party too so we’ve come up four winning recipes, including dessert.
Punch makes the drink scene super easy and Bacardi’s Red Rum Punch is the right color, too. For individual drinks, Americana Faux-Jito from Smirnoff is a cinch plus it’s an easy recipe to double. Looking for something that really beats the heat that can even be served for dessert? Smirnoff’s Stars & Stripes Sorbet is perfect, delicious and super easy.
While you’ve got the blender out and simple syrup on hand, the ever-popular Frozen Daiquiri is a party pleaser, especially made with Bacardi Lime, their newest flavor. And here’s a bit of Founding Fathers trivia, John Adams was a huge rum fan. We’re betting he wasn’t the only one.

Red Rum Punch
¾ part Bacardi Limon
¾ part Bacardi Raspberry
]¾ part Bacardi Superior
½ part Grenadine
2 parts Sweet & Sour
1 part cranberry juice
Lemon wheels or mint and raspberries for garnish
Method: Pour all ingredients into a punch bowl that is filled with ice blocks. Stir. Garnish the bowl with lemon wheels and raspberries.
3 oz. Smirnoff Ice Red, White & Berry
1 oz. Smirnoff No. 21 Vodka
2 basil leaves
2 oz. lemon juice
1 lemon wedge
1 sprig of basil
Method:Combine cherries, raspberries and basil into the bottom of a cocktail shaker and smash. Add lemon juice, Smirnoff No. 21 Vodka and ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a glass and pour in Smirnoff Ice Red, White & Berry. Garnish with lemon wedge, cherries, raspberries and sprig of basil.
Stars & Stripes Sorbet
12 oz Smirnoff Ice Red, White & Berry
10 oz. bag frozen berries
1 cup simple syrup
Method:Puree in a blender and freeze until solid. Scoop into patriotic ice cream cups.
Bacardi Lime Frozen Daiquiri
2 parts Bacardi Lime Flavored Rum
1 part fresh lime juice
¾ parts simple syrup
Method: Combine all ingredients in a blender with 2 cups of ice. Blend until smooth. Garnish with a lime wheel.
