The wineries are incredibly generous donating fabulous wines, magnificent auctions lots and elegant private dinners for the attendees. Hundreds of Napa Valley citizens donate their time to ensure various events work seamlessly.
At the end of the auction after bidders jostled to win costly wine, luxury trips, dinners and so on, the final auction item was Fund-A-Need which offered no prizes except to do good for Napa’s at-risk youth. Despite being tapped out, the crowd came good raising $3.8 million. The money will go to youth intervention and prevention programs in the Napa Valley.
