Hangover Remedies

Nov. 27, 2014 – We saw a headline on Yahoo! touting natural hangover remedies so of course we were interested, not that we ever over-indulge you understand. Reading through it made us practically bilious.

First off, before heading to the party you should take a couple of Prickly Pear pills, and another one after partying. Oh, too bad, we’re fresh out of Prickly Pear pills. We’ll just have to move along to the next suggestion for after the party. When you get home you are urged to drink a mixture of 24 ounces of parsley juice, 16 ounces of coconut water, a bunch of flat leafed parsley and juice of two lemons, all organic, of course. You should make this before you go to the party. Seriously? If you’ve drunk enough to have a hangover, could you really down 40 ounces of something revolting?

If you are still alive, before you go to bed you should have a dose of concentrated milk thistle or sip a cup of dandelion tea. We’ll opt for the latter. But they’re not finished with you yet. The next morning you are advised to drink 8 ounces of lemon juice and hot water followed by 16 – 24 ounces of fresh green juice.

Just to be sure you are really detoxed and there’s not a drop of the evil booze left in your body, get in the sauna for 15 to 45 minutes, showering or plunging into cold water every 15 minutes to really “squeeze out the toxins”. It must have been a helluva party.
