Budweiser and National Parks Foundation Teaming Up

April 28, 2015 – After all the drubbing they have taken lately for their snotty poke at craft beer, we can report that the King of Beers is courting Lady Liberty with some pretty creative packaging and a $2.5 million donation to the National Parks Foundation.

The announcement was made on Earth Day (April 22) by Brian Perkins, vice president of Budweiser saying, “We want to encourage a new generation of beer drinkers to get out there and see what America is made of.”  Good idea.

There are also plans for a summer music program, which at this time appear to be a well-kept secret.  You’ll know when we know.  The press release says, “Budweiser will bring monumental and surprising moments to the national parks through a summer music program that celebrates the brand’s pledge to safeguard these breathtaking landscapes and places of cultural and historical importance, and inspire generations of national parks enthusiasts.”  Another good idea.

The striking Lady Liberty packs will be available in 8-, 12-, 16- and 25-ounce cans and in a 16-ounce aluminum bottle.
