Matthew McConaughey’s Brother Calls Son “Miller Lyte”

September 30, 2015 – Movie star Matthew McConaughey’s brother, Mike “Rooster” McConaughey has a nine-year-old son named “Miller Lyte” in homage to his father’s favorite beer. Miller Lite heard about it recently and rewarded Dad with a year’s supply of free beer.
Miller Lite’s idea of a year’s supply is 24 cases or 576 beers. That’s only a can and a half a day. They’re cheap! Or perhaps they thought more would look like they were encouraging excessive drinking. Bet there was a lot of hand wringing and anguish in the corporate PR and Marketing departments over the message they were sending.
Mike “Rooster” McConaughey is a star in his own right. A successful entrepreneur who has made, lost, and re-made fortunes, he hosts the reality show “West Texas Investors Club” on CNBC. Business Insider reports that he once threw a beer can at an annoying guest. It was an empty can because as Mike the Rooster put it, a full one would be a waste.
And how does Miller Lyte feel about his name? When asked if he was named after the beer he replied, “No, the beer was named after me!”
