What Do Captain Morgan, Marilyn Monroe and Hello Kitty Have in Common?

October 21, 2016 — The unlikely cast of characters, Captain Morgan, Marilyn Monroe and Hello Kitty have one thing in common: the launch of a new products bearing their famous likenesses. Like Marilyn Monroe, Captain Morgan was a real person who now lives in a bottle. Hello Kitty is, well, very unreal but very rich. It’s rumored that she is not a cat but a little girl – with ears? Whatever she is she’s been very successful with her strange little mug on just about everything, and now wine.

Marilyn Monroe Merlot’s 30th vintage has just been released by Marilyn Wines. The label does justice to the Gorgeous One and the wine comes from some of Napa’s finest grapes. Besides being delicious, it is highly collectible and with a little patience, you will recoup your investment many times over.

There’s been a lot of publicity about Hello Kitty Wine, which so far is only available at an Italian restaurant in Santa Ana, California. Since Miss Kitty is Japanese, you’d expect it would be at a sushi place but it’s an Italian winery that has the deal with Kitty’s keeper, Sanrio in Japan.
