Napa Famous For Grapes And Pumpkins!

Pumpkin Wine Contest Announced
A local Napa gardener has grown the biggest pumpkin in the world weighing in at 2,032 pounds. Tim Mathison and his ton of pumpkin were the toast of New York recently appearing on TV with his wife ,Suzie while the famous pumpkin was the focal point of the New York Botanical Garden’s Haunted Pumpkin Garden display.
Napa’s claim to fame for pumpkin growing doesn’t stop there. Napans took for first, second and third place at the Half Moon Bay weigh off with Gary Miller capturing the title with a pumpkin weighing 1,985 pounds, Mathison came in second with another pumpkin that weighed a mere 1,894 pounds and Leonardo Urena with a 1,592 pounder finished third.
So what happens when the USA’s greatest wine region turns into the USA’s greatest pumpkin patch? A pumpkin wine challenge, of course!
