September 4, 2015 – Every year for the past 14 years Old Forester releases a limited edition of a special bourbon to celebrate the birthday of George Garvin Brown, the founder of Brown-Forman. His birthday was September 2.
This collector’s item comes from the June 13, 2003 vintage. The barrels were exposed to high temperatures resulting in more wood-driven characteristics.
Only 2,200 cases were made of the 2015 Old Forester Birthday Bourbon and they are available nationwide so it’s not what you’d call a glut. If you want one, better go get it now. The suggested retail is $70 to $80 a bottle.
