Jim Beam Releases First Rye Whiskey

June 3, 2016 – Booker Noe, the Beam family’s sixth generation master distiller died in 2014 but his legend lives on with the release of Booker’s Rye “Big Time Batch” produced from barrels he laid down in 2003. It has received rave reviews for “packing dense layers of sweet and rustic aromas and flavors into every sniff and sip” according to TheWhiskeyJug.com, which also opined that “it a rye whiskey that Jim Beam should be putting out on a regular basis.”
Beam describes the whiskey as rare and very limited. It is available in better stores nationwide but it won’t last long, even priced at $300 a bottle, as it is a highly collectible one-off small batch.
